Kay was in the kitchen, putting dinner away and cleaning up, etc., when she smelled cigarette smoke very strongly.  (She, nor her husband smoke.)  It was as if someone was standing right beside her, smoking.  After she finished, she was sitting in the living room, watching tv, and smelled it come through there, a strong smell of cigarette smoke.  She asked her husband if he smelled it, he said, "Yes, smells like a Pall Mall."

It may or may not have any bearing on this, but, is worth mentioning that Kay's father, who died in 1990 (before she met her husband), smoked Pall Mall cigarettes.
